Levon Basso will introduce the world of surf photography, some of his experiences in the water, his approach and process to producing images, and some ideas on how to get started in the exciting world of surf photography.
Levon Basso is a surf, scenic and portrait photographer from Honolulu, Hawaii. He has been shooting for most of his life as a hobbyist, and then later as a professional photographer for the past 8 years. He shoots full time on Oahu as well as occasional travel work. He’s passionate about the ocean and waves, and loves bringing people into that action through his photo and video work.

NCUPS Background
The Northern California Underwater Photographic Society (NCUPS) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that promotes interest in underwater photography. The club has been active since 1957, sponsoring educational events on both underwater photography and video while promoting awareness of the underwater environment and pertinent ecological issues.
