Michael Chofré

Michael has been an underwater photographer for the last 10 years. He dives with his wife Ruth to destinations throughout the Pacific, Caribbean, Hawaii, Florida, and the California coast.

Growing up in the Philippines, Michael's interest in photography was sparked by accompanying his father who was a noted special events photographer.

Michael uses a Nikokos V camera with dual strobes. For wide angle, he uses both 15mm Nikonos and 16mm Sea&Sea lenses, and uses a 35mm with extension tubes for macro. He recently added a housed Nikon camera to his setup, plus a Nikonos III for those days when everything is flooding.

Michael was the NCUPS featured photographer for September, 1998.
