Ruth Chofré

Ruth has been diving for 30 years, and shooting underwater photographs for the last 10. In 1998, she won the prestigious Scuba Schools International Platinum Pro 5000 Award for having completed over 5000 dives and making many contributions to the scuba diving world. With her husband Michael, she dives throughout the Pacific, Caribbean, Hawaii, Florida, and the California coast.

Ruth began her photographic career at the age of 5 with her first camera, a Brownie Hawkeye. She has since upgraded her gear to a Nikonos V for underwater photography, using two strobes and a 28mm lens for wide angle, macro, and with a Nikonos close-up kit.
