Steve Rosenberg

Steve has been an NCUPS member for over 20 years, and served as club president for three seperate terms!

Steve has been a scuba diver since 1965. He is now a professional writer/photographer specializing in travel writing, underwater still photography, video and photography instruction and marine biology. He is an active member in the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW). His work is seen regularly in diving publications in the United States and abroad, as well as in nature, photography and general interest magazines, books, travel brochures and fine art publications.

Among his many accomplishments, Steve has served as California Editor for Diver Canada Magazine and a contributing editor for Pacific Diver Magazine. He has also provided photography for Sea World, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the New England Aquarium and the Osaka Aquarium in Japan.

Based in Northern California, he is active in many other parts of the world teaching photography and video seminars, shooting travel assignments and stock photography (Pacific Stock and UniPhoto stock agencies), and leading tours to the Indo-Pacific, Caribbean, Hawaii and other tropical and sub-tropical destinations around the globe. On several occasions he has been selected to represent the United States in the World Underwater Photography Competitions sponsored by CMAS (The World Underwater Federation headquartered in Rome).

Steve took First and Fourth place awards in the Professional category of the FIRST WORLD UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION held in the Turks & Caicos Islands in 1997. He has also won over two hundred and fifty place awards in international competitions including gold and silver medals in the prestigious Hans Hass Photography competition in Austria.
