California Beach Dive Photo Competition 2009

Mark your calendar and book your motel for the funnest underwater photography event on the West Coast! On Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17, 2009, SCUBA divers from Seattle to San Diego will converge on Monterey, California to compete for top prizes in one of the most unique underwater photo competitions in the United States. This is a one-day competition open to all underwater photographers and videographers of all experience levels. All photos (and videos), must be taken from beach dives along the Monterey coastline on Saturday, May 16. A panel of judges, comprised of professional photographers, will select the winners on Sunday, May 17, with the winners being announced and prizes awarded on Sunday afternoon.
New this year: Video! Yes there will be video categories at the competition this year. Also this year; there will be no film categories. With so few film shooters left the decision has been made to discontinue film categories. So only digital still and video entries in 2009.
