Ruth Chofre FRINGEHEAD Knowing where this fringehead lived...he was easy! While shooting from other angles would have been preferred, I was impeded by a cement piling support beam immediately overhead. However, I kept reviewing what Berkley White taught about lighting in a recent class he gave at "Backscatter"...and pointers Steve Rosenberg has mumbled mantra-like to me over the years. Having lots of air, great water conditions, and no film to limit me, I took advantage of the opportunity to do some serious bracketing on this fringehead. Nikon D100, 60mm lens in a Light & Motion Titan housing, two Nikonos 105 strobes with diffusers, short Ultralite arms, TTL flash (bracketing by using the Titan’s ROC capabilities for more or less light) at 1/200 sec., f20 and a Light & Motion modeling light.
