Clay Wiseman (www.facebook.com/clay.wiseman) has a degree in ichthyology (fisheries biology) and a minor in marine invertebrate zoology from the University of Washington.
He worked in mariculture (hatchery design), and then in commercial diving before going to work for the Aggressor Fleet as ship’s captain, dive instructor, photo and video-pro. He completed contracts for Aggressor in Cayman, Belize, Turks and Caicos, Hawaii, Truk Lagoon and Palau. He then left the Fleet to pursue a career in professional photography. Since that time he has published his photography and writing in National Geographic Magazine, Time Magazine, International Wildlife Magazine, Ocean Realm Magazine, Skin Diver and Sport Diver Magazines and for many more venues. Additionally, he co-authored Guide to Marine Life of the Caribbean, Bahamas and Florida ISBN 1-881652-06-8 with his friend and colleague Marty Snyderman.
Clay has also worked as a professional videographer. His documentary production “Medicines From the Sea” aired on PBS as part of the California Connected series. In addition, he completed his Foundation-funded production “ Leatherback” to bring to light the horrible destruction caused by the long-line fishing industry for swordfish, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kitqGoPMm7k .

Clay regularly leads groups of diving, video and marine-life enthusiasts on diving expeditions throughout the world. He and his wife Martha operate Underwater Art Travel, a company specializing in exotic underwater photography and videography expeditions.
