Work Faster! A Simple Culling Workflow
August 11 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm PDT
Please join us at our new meeting location at Round Table Pizza in San Mateo for a presentation by our very own Susan & Brad Brown.
A Fast & Simple Culling Workflow for Photos and Video
Do you spend hours picking out your best photos after a dive? Do you shoot video and then later struggle with finding the perfect clip to place in your movie? The Monterey Shootout is upon us! At 4:30PM on August 26th, dozens of you will be struggling to make final picks on photo and video submissions before the 5PM deadline.
Gone are the days when one had to pick three slides from a set of thirty-six. Today you may have to pick your fav
orites from hundreds of digital photos generated during five dives. Video footage is potentially even more cumbersome to deal with.
Brad and Susan Brown will present strategies to quickly cull the losers so that you have more time to edit the winners. The seminar-style talk will focus primarily on software-based techniques rather than image/video composition and style.
Bio for Brad and Susan? Really? ok, here you go:
Brad is a biochemist and life-long SF bay area resident. Brad has scored a number of wins in the Monterey Shootout including first-place in video montage category four of the last six years and Best-of-Show in the photo category.
Susan is a project manager at Lucasfilm with credits in the Avengers: Age of Ultron, Noah and Rogue One, a Star Wars Story.
Both Brad and Susan have been diving and collecting underwater photos and video for more than twenty years. They have served on the NCUPS board since 2009, with Susan serving as club president for four of those years.
NCUPS’ Monthly Club Meeting will be held in a NEW location starting February 10, 2017.
